The ISKCON GBC Ministry for Cow Protection and Agriculture, which organized conferences on simple living in four continents last year, supports the 10th European Farm Conference. The conference, themed “Back to Basics,” will be facilitated by Krishna Valley, the primary model community of the Eco Valley Foundation.

However, the ‘Back to Basics’ conference at Krishna Valley is just one of a worldwide series of the ISKCON Ministry for Cow Protection and Agriculture’s conferences this year, which will include gatherings in Nova Gokula, Brazil; New Vrindavan, USA and more.

ISKCON’s Ministry for Cow Protection initiated the launch of conferences on farming and cow protection upon Krishna Valley’s initiative in 2007. For the first two years in a row, this farming community, a renowned ecovillage throughout Europe, hosted the annual conference, and from then on a different European community acted as the host of the event each year.

On the occasion of the 10th jubilee, Krishna Valley organizes the conference again, which has changed a lot in the meantime, and is not only a professional forum for cow protection anymore, but also a place for discussions on self-sufficiency, sustainability, and multi-faceted subjects of community life.
